Conway Review Lecture 1977
12/01/1977 in Cork
Ian C. Roddie, Department of Physiology, The Queen’s University of Belfast
Human Responses to Emotional Stress
IC Roddie: One of the strong points of Our Section in recent years has been that people have not been allowed to talk on any subject for more than ten minutes. Any talk can be tolerated provided it is short. The same is not true of talks that last an hour. I hope that this new venture into length will not put at risk the popularity of the Section, because this is an important day in our history. I1 is the first occasion on which we pay homage by eponymous lecture to the memory of one of our most distinguished biologists, Professor Edward Joseph Conway. I feel very honoured to be giving the first of these.
