In 1993 Dr. Kelleher had also presented the St. Luke’s lecture titled “Cancer and the Immune system, Shared Pathways, Diffferent Goals”.

The chairman of the Health Research Board Professor Muiris MX Fitzgerald, congratulated Dr. Kelleher on the unprecedented achievement of being awarded the Academy silver medal for presenting two prestigious lectures within a short time of each other.

This being the thirty-fourth Graves Lecture since its beginnings in 1961.
