The Section of General Practice combined with the Apothecaries Hall to hear the Sheppard Memorial Lecture which this year was given by Dr. Bartley Sheehan.

Dr. Sheehan spoke on the opportunities presented by the present cut-backs. The Governor of the Apothecaries Hall, Dr. Malachy Powell presided and the meeting was honoured by the presence of the President of the Academy Dr. Fleetwood and the President of the General Practice Section Dr. O’Callaghan Lehane.
