 In this talk, Brian Cleary will use William Wilde’s retro-auricular incision as a starting point for a journey through medical and literary history. He will use his personal experience of sudden hearing loss, single-sided deafness, and severe tinnitus as a lens to guide you through historical treatment approaches. Brian will trace the different interconnected timelines and an unexpected turn of events with his groundbreaking discovery of Bram Stoker’s Gibbet Hill which attracted worldwide attention.
