The Academy is divided into Sections of special interest. In the Rules of the Academy each Section shall have a President, a Secretary and a Council. No Fellow may serve on more than two Section Councils. The councils of the Sections of Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics, Pathology, Biological Sciences, and General Practice shall each consist of the President of the Section and ten Fellows, one of whom shall act as the Secretary of the Section. The councils of the remaining Sections shall consist of the President of the Section and six Fellows one of whom shall act as Secretary of the Section.
